This large 1970’s brick and tile split level Spanish style home was the original acreage home, amidst a new small lot development. It featured a classic graceful Spanish arched patio, dark brick interiors with exposed timber beams, bar, and original copper fireplace. In original condition, it included a carpeted bulkhead over the bar! Showing respect for the home’s design heritage, we created an arched canopy over the stove in the kitchen, and used Moroccan patterned tiles in the splashback and all the wet areas, and the floor of the arched patio, creating a modern Mediterranean style. We added warm timber flooring, preserved the bar and fireplace, used dark chocolate feature doors and kitchen cabinetry with copper handles and black ultra modern lighting throughout. The opening of an access to the back yard, the construction of a massive rear covered patio overlooking native bushland and the addition of a PVC fence created a private sanctuary with many entertaining options.
