This 1920’s timber and tin Queenslander had undergone an 80’s lift and brick in under, as well as a further enclosure of the garage and the addition of a downstairs bathroom. We noticed that by building up around the beams we would have legal height downstairs allowing us to move the kitchen downstairs into the laundry space and create an adjacent extra living and dining space. This allowed the old upstairs kitchen dining area to become a master suite with the addition of an ensuite. We replaced the dodgy internal stairs, restored the original house details, renovated the two existing bathrooms, added the ensuite, relocated the laundry upstairs, rebuilt the front deck with weatherproof shutters and character floor tile, replaced the front external stairs, removed an in ground spa and repaired the pergola roof, polished the original timber floors, added new downstairs flooring, lighting, appliances and repainted everything including the huge shed and fences. A new front fence with decorative pergola added to the traditional street appeal.
